Who am I?
I am a sociologist and a statistician. I hold an MA in Sociology and a BA in Mathematics, my PhD thesis analysed how people see and define income inequality. Currently I study human migration and serve as the head of the Socio-Economic Research Unit at the Centre of Migration Research.
What are my academic interests?
My research interests include: perception of income inequality, survey research methodology, statistical analysis, and of course: human migration. Currently I also study how climate change or more precisely heat, impacts the elderly in Warsaw and Madrid (you can find more on the project here: www.emclic.com).
What do I teach?
I love discovering how people perceive things and make decisions, and how this is (or can be) reflected in the data. Thus, I teach Introduction to Social Science Methods.
Why ISSC?
Social change is happening all around us, whether we notice it or not, and it doesn’t respect disciplinary boundaries. We need to enable people to better understand differences, think critically, and be able interpret the deluge of data and information that is sent towards us every day.
