Debating on Social Change: Key Social Challenges for the 21st Century

The objectives of the course are twofold – substantive and formal. The substantive is to think through and discuss some fundamental issues – the challenges of the first decades of the 21st century. Formal – to learn to present arguments effectively but concisely (litotes!), but also to respond effectively to counter-arguments. The format of the class will also allow for efficient group work – both in the – lengthy – preparation for the class and during the offline meetings themselves.
