What are my academic interests?

My academic interests are broad. I focus on Italian Literature, Medical Humanities/Narrative Medicine, language learning, creative writing, Linguistics, Polish and Italian Dantism. My PhD research deals with the presence of Covid-19 in Italian fiction and creative non-fiction.

What do I teach?

I have been teaching a creative writing workshop in Italian, focused on the short story as a genre, for Italian-speaking students at the University of Warsaw. I’m also assisting my PhD supervisor in a course about “Madness in Italian Literature”.

Why ISSC?

I think ISSC has great potential as a successful new field of study at the University of Warsaw. It deals with crucial concepts, such as the “European borderland”, from a broad perspective of interdisciplinarity and multiculturality, which is of inestimable value especially as we are now facing challenging times in Europe. As an international PhD student studying in Poland, I believe we as Europeans should keep working towards a mutual understanding of our cultures and languages that are constitutive of European identity.
