I graduated in sociology and ethnology, but so far my main area of scientist interest has been contemporary Modern Greek literature and culture. I also pursue studies on SF&F literature.
More specifically I have published papers and monographs on travel literature, Polish-Greek relations (philhellenism), contemporary Cypriot social and folk topics, Modern Greek folk dance, trends in contemporary Greek literature and SF&F genre studies. I teach a list of subjects on Greek and Cypriot topics that revolve around culture and literature in conjunction with tradition and history and an irregular course on Polish afterwar SF&F literature.
I am very much interested in foreseeing the future, in visions that familiarize us with our expectations as to the future, in projecting (anti)utopias and in mental exercise as to what the future shape of things might come. I hope to bring these interests as well as Greek/Cypriot borderland acumen to use in the ISSC programme.
